University Affairs a five-time awards finalist

Website named a finalist in five categories in the 2010 Canadian Online Publishing Awards.

BY LÉO CHARBONNEAU | SEP 24 2010

I’m very pleased to note that University Affairs has been named a finalist in five separate categories in the second annual Canadian Online Publishing Awards. We’re nominated in the blue division, for business-to-business, professional association, farm or scholarly websites.

We’re nominated in the categories of best website design, best news coverage (for these three entries, here, here, and here); best blog, for Margin Notes (the blog you’re reading right now); best community feature (which includes best use of social media); and best article or series of articles, for our excellent Career Advice section (specifically for these entries here, and here ). Lots of great reading.

The winners will be announced at a special reception on Oct. 20 in Toronto. It is sincerely an honour simply to be nominated, but of course we’re keeping our fingers crossed all the same…
